1. Install the Add-on
Get Placeholder Fill by Irvito from the Google Workspace Marketplace. Access it from Extensions > Placeholder Fill in any Google Doc, Sheet, Slide deck, or Form.
2. Scan for Placeholders
Click Scan and Placeholder Fill automatically finds every {{placeholder}} in your document. A form appears in the sidebar — one input field per unique placeholder.
3. Fill & Replace
Type your values (or upload images) and hit Replace. Every instance of each placeholder is swapped in one shot. Optionally clone the document first to keep the original template safe.
